🔄 Stitch Pattern: Interlocking Block Stitch

This stitch alternates 5 double crochet with 5 single crochet groups, separated by chain spaces and interwoven row-by-row.

🪡 Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Foundation Chain

  • Chain 84 (approx. 14″)

  • Add 3 extra chains for turning (acts as first double crochet)

Step 2: Row 1 (Base Layer)

  • Work 5 double crochet, chain 3, skip 3, 5 single crochet, chain 3, skip 3…

  • Continue alternating until you end with 5 double crochet

Step 3: Second Color Attachment
